Role of India in the age of pandemic

People from china, particularly from Wuhan wouldn’t have believed if someone told them few months before , hey guys you are going to create a pandemic soon. can't really  blame them, when the entire world after all these three months couldn’t predict how long the virus will be alive in this earth or how it behaves, let alone to find a quality drug to fight this .

It looks the medical community more or less try to slow the progress of c-19 even by sacrificing the efficacy of the pill/vaccine. Apparently three or  four approaches.

i) Use the earlier SARS viruses and its cure  as baseline to search for the medicine  ii)use the plasma of the recovered person. iii) Old drugs which used for other diseases (chloroquine, ivermectin comes here);  

finally, where India can play at minimum.. create a baseline of the entire affected population, feed into data analytics..etc..One theory is with the data available now, looks like Asian countries where the BCG vaccination is in effect has less fatalities, From india why not gather the  data properly ; give it to the science community to find out whether its really useful.but for that you need to do more diagnostic tests. when you have billions of people even  with 30% of populations data, it may provide valuable insights.

No big scientific contribution from india in few decades, can’t you  just get the data collection done

Its really frustrating and insulting at the same time we (Tamil nadu) have more medical colleges than any other state, but have  less tests than Kerala so far. Tests..Tests..Tests..only then we know the real reach of this covid-19. Though Kerala is small state, conducted more tests then they managed to keep the fatality rate less than ours or its peers. No wonder Doctors association expressed their dissatisfaction with the no of tests conducted few weeks before in a tv show

Now the whole india try to paint the color of a religion to the virus instead finding the real cure or at least helping the poor and those who affected by the lock down. That's why people have become atheists as often,  religion always contradict with the science...they play culture song all the time but when they needs medicine will dance for different  tune.Now we are almost a nation of hypocrites. 

While we await for the arrival of Chinese kits, and discuss whether govt will extend the shut down or not., its times like these make us realize good politicians not only good for state or country but  to the entire world where as the corrupt prove to be harmful to the present and future .
